On the doctor’s advice, Linda takes a lift for the final 24 km of the day. Others don’t take that advice and find themselves in serious condition
Me? Just 2 km from the ride’s end, the police escort pulls up beside me and I slip into the gravel.
After some roadside first aid from the doctor I dust myself off and finish the ride.
