Countdown
Tour d’Afrique is an 11,000 km cycling expedition spanning the length of Africa, from Cairo, Egypt to Cape Town, South Africa.
Linda and I completed the tour between January and May 2017. It was among the hardest things I have ever done. Africa is complex, and the journey was simultaneously challenging, exhausting, exciting and frustrating.
Countdown posts a daily photo with a written summary that loses one word each day, matching the days left in the journey.
