May have spoken too soon.
Another day holed up at the Protea Marriott. Bodies need time to recover from the stresses of fighting off a virus and the accompanying dehydration.
Electrolytes build up slowly, which means our energy ebbs and flows dramatically by the hour. Water, rehydration salts, anti-inflammatories, Netflix, sleep.
Repeat.
Small, incremental gains from morning to night. Indeed, this is a slow process.
It’s comfortable here, but we also long to be with the tour.
