Ethiopian border to Khartoum, bus ride
Boomerang!
Tonight, after an eight hour bus ride, we are back in Khartoum. It’s Friday evening and the streets are barren.
No cycling today or the next 8 days. Thanks to the state of emergency that is in place in Ethiopia, we have a detour and change of routing.
Plan now is to fly over Ethiopia to Nairobi. Then, we’ll make up the bulk of the lost mileage by adding Uganda and Rwanda to the route.
In the meantime, the hope is to rest up and clean up: bodies, bikes, minds and gear.
