Dead Camel Camp to Desert Camp, 143 km
Another cold morning. More comfortable thanks to mittens pulled from our bags. Scenery the same as the day prior: sand, rocky hills, camels (living and dead).
Without question, today is remarkable for the aggressive traffic. In particular, the buses, which refuse to slow down or give way on a road without paved shoulders. Repeatedly, we were forced off the road by buses coming within inches of us.
They drive like maniacs.
A new strategy is to be proactive. To pull to the side of the road each time we see passing buses about to intersect one another.
Makes for a slower, safer journey.
