Nile ferry camp to Dongola, 115 km
Woke up covered in sand dust. The fruits of a blistery sand storm the evening before.
Sand.
Is.
Everywhere.
Spilled half a cup of tea on the floor of the tent before packing it up. Now the tent is smeared in muddy sand.
So, after a strong tailwind got us to Dongola before noon, we are looking forward to a day and a half rest. Two nights in a modest hotel will give us time and space to clean up the mess and regroup for the next stage.
Stopped en route to share some date bars with a pair of donkey cart travellers.
Another good day!
