Day 50, 72 words

Lake Bunyonyi to Kigali, 116 kmHands down, the best day of cycling to date. A gorgeous cycle up and out of Lake Bunyonyi, then a short cycle to the Rwandan border.

The border crossing is long, but worth the wait. Tea plantations spill down valley floors, modern roadways, light traffic, and no garbage. Rwanda is delightful.

Once in Kigali, we suffer through the bureaucracy of picking up Gorilla trek permits, then make our way to the mountains.
